The energy and spirit that stirred in the city of San Francisco, California at the signing of the Charter of the United Nations in 1945 is kept vibrant through the United Nations Association of San Francisco (UNA-SF). It is one of 17 local chapters in the Northern California Division that belong to the United Nations Association of the United Sates of America (UNA-USA). UNA-SFís sister chapter is in Malmo, Sweden. 

The UNA-USA is a national, nonpartisan and nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing US participation in the United Nations system and to strengthen that system as it seeks to define and carry out its mission. The UNA-USA is also a part of a larger network of United Nations Associations around the world called the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA).
