International Womens Day 2001
The UNA of San Francisco co-sponsored a film festival through the
United Nations Association Film Festival Extension Program
(UNAFF EP) in San Francisco on March 7, 2001 at the August Coppola Theatre at San Francisco State University. Four documentaries from
Peru, USA and Brazil showcased the struggle for justice and dignity for all
women around the world. The documentaries illuminate ideas, fears and
thoughts, from the indigenous women in Peru to a lesbian couple in the Bay
Area and from Asian Americans and Europeans who live in California, to women
politicians in Brazil.
