Model United Nations is a stimulating and interactive academic activity for participants and students to learn more about the United Nations and the world they live in. In Model UN, participants step into the shoes of ambassadors to the UN from all 193 Member States. Delegates debate and discuss the most pertinent international issues from the perspective of the country they represent. Delegates can take part of a plethora of UN committees, from the most recognizable such as the General Assembly and Security Council or specialized agencies such as the International Telecommunications Union and Commission on the Status of Women.
The United Nations Association, through our Global Classrooms program, is the world’s largest supporter of Model UN. The UNA-USA hosts multiple MUN conferences throughout the country and supports even more; assisting to start clubs and programs in impoverished areas.
If you would like to volunteer for the UNA-SF then please fill out the volunteer application: Click here to take survey. The survey results are checked every Sunday – you will be contacted.
