Artists for Global Peace -
Projects
|
AGP aims to assist artists in transcending borders and connect
all humanity through our hearts and souls. In addition, we offer a
forum for those wanting to become involved but not knowing how.
We ask poets and
novelists, film producers and playwrights, to create more
literature, films, and plays with a message of social responsibility
and tolerance, awakening the public to the dangers of complacency.
We ask musicians and
dancers to use their art form, which leaps across national borders
without any restrictions of language, to create bridges of trust and
tolerance between differing cultures, most especially cultures which
have traditionally feared each other.
We ask painters,
sculptors, and architects to challenge us to see our world with new
and perceptive eyes, enriching our diversity rather than creating
sameness.
We ask actors and
all other artists to avail themselves of their positions of respect
to speak out against all that diminishes the spark of the human
spirit. Artists working together can model universal peace and
respect.

The Manifesto for Social Change
We are writing a manifesto addressing the evolution of the human
heart and mind toward something that is neither egocentric nor
ethnocentric, but sets individuals free to unfold their own deepest
possibilities in a culture of encouragement and love. Addressing our
responsibilities is a mandatory condition for continued existence or
our communions will dissolve, and we along with them. Our manifesto
sounds the clarion call to action for all artists.
