SDG Youth-Impact Certification

Purpose Overview

Youth Advisory Program For Sustainable Development is dedicated to establishing a standard for meaningful youth and young professional engagement in organizations that promote practices advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The YAP leaders will provide consultation, certification, and recognition to organizations who have met specific standards of achievement of the SDG framework in their opeartions, outreach and youth impact.

Program Strucutre & Objective

The aim of the SDG Certificate program is to establish credible, evidence-based standards for meaningful youth engagement within vetted organization. By recognizting organizations that intentionally empower young people through inclusive governnance, leadership development, supportive environments, and measurable community impact, the SDG Youth-Impact Certification encourages the adoption of best practices that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Through clear evaluation criteria and independent verification, the program seeks to strenthen organizational capacity, elevate youth voices in decision-making, and foster a culture where young people are valued as active partners in sustainable development rather than passive beneficiaries.

Admission Criteria

The YAP Team works on awarding SDG Youth-Impact Certificates to organizations who have met specific criteria. We are looking for candidates to join the YAP program who share:

• Alignment of Passion - Are passionate about building a better world in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals;

• Alignment of Aspirations - Demonstrate the potential for leveraging the program to significantly increase their tangible contribution towards the SDGs; and

• Alignment of Priorities - Are seriously committed to completing the program and co-creating a great program experience together with their fellow participants and the YAP Team.
